The Launch of The Organised Business

12th November 2014

Book 4 (640x427)

The launch of my new book, The Organised Business, was well attended last night by small business owners who were all interested in learning more about getting organised to get more from their businesses.  The evening, which commenced with a drinks reception hosted by The Orangery at Turkey Mill in Maidstone, turned into a fantastic business and networking event.

The guests took their seats in the stunning garden room where John Hawkins, Operations Director of Turkey Mill Business Park, opened the event by introducing the speakers.Book 22 (640x403)

I took centre stage to share with the audience my experience of writing the book and to introduce the two characters from the book, Stephen and John. I spoke about the differences in these two characters and their lives and about the importance of a vision for your business.

I went on to explain how being a business owner who focuses too much on the technical work that the business does, is detrimental and will hold the business back and prevent it from growing.  I continued with highlighting the importance of systems, how every business needs to document these to enable the business to grow and how the book was written to help small businesses to do just that.

The seminar was supported by a nuBook 16 (640x427)mber of external speakers, who each delivered thought-provoking information that went hand-in-hand with the aims of my book for helping small businesses achieve their potential.

Jessen Chinnapan, business coach and entrepreneur, talked about the entrepreneurial mind set and the importance of focusing on your business solutions not problems, whilst Leonardo Wood from Lead Generation X shared his 1-Hour Digital Marketing System, which can increase your leads and customers by spending just 1 hour per week.

Colin Davies from the Kent Invicta Chamber, discussed all the great work that the Chamber does on behalf of it’s members, including how the chamber presented its business plan for the UK to all major political parties.

And finally, CEO of High Growth Kent, Alex Ledger, shared with us the benefits of the Growth Accelerator Programme and how this scheme is helping to bring affordable coaching to small businesses throughout Kent.Book 47 (640x427)

The evening was rounded off by signing copies of the book for guests and further networking with the speakers.  A great evening was had by all and I would like to thank those that supported me and all those who took the time to come along.

The Organised Business is out now and can be purchased  on here.
