The Foundations programme is designed to help you to FREE yourself from working in your business so that you can spend more time working on it.  We appreciate that many small business owners are too busy… that’s why our business exists!

The 5 days of the Foundations programme are spread over half a year with diary dates given in advance.  We hope that by committing to attend the programme, you are committing to attend all the classroom days.  However, we are aware that sickness or major business problems may get in the way.  Missing a day may result in you missing out on doing something that is critical to helping you to organise your business, although all course materials will be provided.

At the very first stage of both Foundations and Foundations Plus, we will help you to create a business vision and plan to focus you on growing your business.  We can guide you with growing your team to take on the increased work and implementing systems to ensure that the new larger team work in a way that you and your customers are satisfied with.  We can teach you how to make sure that you marketing is focussed and you are not wasting time and money on things that you don’t need to be doing.

The timing, venue, duration and investment are different. But, a lot of the teachings and tools to organising your business will be the same.  When deciding what is right for you, you should consider these differences:

Foundations is with a group of other business owners.  The benefit of working in this group is that you will gain a lot of knowledge from the experience that they have shared with you.  You will also be supported by like-minded people that understand your frustrations, and, who become committed to your business’ success.

Foundations covers the 5 modules that are key organising your business.  All course materials will be available to you.  You will be responsible for implementing the plans that you make in the classroom sessions.  However, we will challenge you to achieve your goals in the coaching sessions.

Foundations Plus is one-to-one.  All of the time will be focussed solely on your business.

Following the Discovery Day for Foundations Plus, we will plan and priorities the themes of the Blue Print meetings to target the key areas for your business development.  Not only will we provide you with simple “How to Guides”, we will also “hold your hand” in the implementation of your plans that we have agreed following the Discovery Day.  We will work with you in a flexible way, whist still challenging you to achieve your goals.

Yes, we would advise that you attend with a business partners or another key member of your team if their input is key to the success of your business.  We offer a reduced rate for second delegates.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss your requirements.

It varies for each Module:

After Module 01, you will need to agree and communicate your business vision with your team and finalised your business plan. Working towards achieving your business plan will be an ongoing business activity.

After Module 02, you will need to work towards a plan to systemise your business.  This is a big task that will take time and involve people in your team, however it is critical to ensuring that your business runs smoothly giving the quality and service that you and your customers expect.   Making sure your systems are working efficiently will be an ongoing business activity.

After Module 03 you will need to implement KPIs and have a really good chat with your accountant to ensure that your business is performing financially.  Monitoring your finances will be an ongoing business activity.

After Module 04 you will need to implement a marketing plan that you have created in the classroom.  Ensuring your marketing is successful will be an ongoing business activity.

After Module 05 you will need to work on using some of the tools given to organise yourself.

Yes, we can help you, in fact, when The Organised Business was starting-up, we used the tools and techniques we teach to organise our own new business!

Our coaching programme is called Foundations Plus.  After a Discovery Day where we find out about your business situation and goals, we will follow up with you in regular monthly Blueprint meetings.  As well as functional activities such as training practical guidance, you will also have a coaching discussion to challenge you to meet your goals, reflect on your own actions and keep you focused on what you must do to grow your business.

At The Organised Business, we work with all our clients in three ways:

• We will teach you new ways of doing things and give you ideas to try out to organise your business
• We will actively work with you on your business. We will, in a way, be the project co-ordinators of the implementation of your business plan whist you are working with us
• We will challenge you to reach your own and business’ potential and keep you focused on achieving your goals.

Yes, you can!  Our business started from the book.  If you are driven and do all the things that William Wood suggests in the book, you will organise your business.  Some people need more support and that’s where we come in.  If you read the book and would like more help, please contact us.

The Foundations course takes place at our premises in Maidstone, Kent.  Meetings for Foundations Plus can take place at the client’s business premises or with us in Maidstone.
